They don't even know how to make eggs, and I tried three versions. Things weren't much better in the breakfast buffet. Dinner rolls were rock hard, and all portions on the small side. Not much flavor in anything, although the lobster was good and larger than expected. All were tough, and the beef tenderloin was presented as triangular chunks, cut *with* the grain instead of against it. Now, however, the beef tenderloin, filet and one other (already forgotten) were just bad. I never did have a good beef dish on my five Princess cruises, although ten or so years ago the beef wellington was pretty good. I tried three, and all were worse than ever. Worse, however, is the unpleasantness of the beef dishes. I had to go with the 'all the time' chicken entree at least twice. A new issue is that the main dining room's nightly choices frequently have less 'coverage' now in other words, three of five new dishes might be fish, which I don't eat. I don't know if all Princess ships have the same menus and quality, but there has been a steady decline over the past twelve years (and five Princess cruises). The problem on the Emerald Princess is the food, which I'd rate a feeble 1.5 stars - not acceptable considering the cruise cost.
